We are inviting application from Bangladeshi Nationals for the position of Assistant Purchase Officer in the Finance Department. The candidate must fulfill the following criteria to qualify for the position:
Position: Assistant Purchase Officer
Responsibility:
Assistant Purchase Officer shall be the responsible to assist Purchase Manager for the overall operations of the Purchase Section under Finance Department of the Hotel. The incumbent has to perform the following duties but not limited to, as follows: Assist Purchase Manager to prepare the purchasing plan for local procurement and prepare import schedule on yearly basis in coordination with all the respective departments.
Check the papers submitted by the applicants, especially validity of Trade License and Income Tax Certificate. Create vendor profile, establish supplier information files and update them regularly. Maintain records of all kinds of Direct Purchase. Maintain format for purchase, purchase requisition, tender/request for quotation, comparative statement, purchase order/work order etc.
Visit various local markets to learn the availability of various commonly items and collect the prevailing prices to prepare comparative statement.
Handle all procedural jobs connected with the foreign purchase and follow up related activities initiated by the Purchase Manager.
Keep up to date regarding Hotel necessary products which will be needed for meeting up the future demands/emergency. Resolve and answer the questions regarding purchasing related issues with department and/or vendors.
Maintain a very good congenial atmosphere and coordination with the Departments regarding all types of purchasing related activities.
Any other lawful assignment given by the competent authority as and when requirement basis.
Job Requirements:
Minimum BBA with major in Accounting/Finance from a reputed Public/Private University.
Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in related activities.
Ability to implement and maintain PPSD Purchase and other relevant policy.
Must have sound knowledge on TAX & VAT.
Should possess strong networking capability, entertaining clients, ability to plan ahead and ready to work under pressure.
Not more than 30 (thirty) years of age as of last date of submitting the application.
Other Requirements:
Presentable personality, well groomed, courteous and excellent inter-personal relationship skills.
Commendable documented communications proficiency both in spoken & written English and Bangla.
Familiar with MS Office package and Internet Browsing.
Strong Leadership skills & administrative capabilities are required as a future successor.
Should have an Can Do Attitude.
Ready to work extra hours irrespective of Duty schedule based on emergency situations.
